Ecological Commitment
- Wherever possible, we sort waste materials for recycling and use the recycled products.
- 70% of the electricity we need for our production and services has been generated from renewable sources and certified as naturemade star (since 2008). In addition, more than 100 square meters of photovoltaics (20kWp) will be installed on Microsynth's rooftops (April 2012). The electricity generated per year is roughly 18'000kWh, which amounts to 6% of our current consumption.
- Microsynth’s printed materials are all made from recycled fiber-based paper or FSC-certified paper.
- To visit our customers in Switzerland, our sales force primarily uses the train or cars from mobility carsharing.
In the near future, Microsynth will attempt to achieve further improvements and optimizations to produce and analyze as as sustainably as possible.
It is our aim to organize our processes and work flows using a minimum of resources and waste (and to do it in a “climate neutral” manner within 15 years; for more information, please see www.myclimate.org).
We are convinced that the sustainable way of working will be the foundation of our economic future.
¹ "Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This is the most frequently quoted definition for sustainable development. It is from "Our Common Future", also known as the Brundtland Report.
